Additional information:
This trail lead you to possible highest peak (unofficial) of Bangladesh, “Mowdok Taung“. This peak is also known as Saka Hafong and Tlang Moy. This is also the peak that have most prominence.

How to go:

First you have to reach Bandarban.

Bellow mentioned links may help you to reach Bandarban.

Bandarban also have direct road based transport communication from Cox’s Bazar and Rangamati. A road from Chokoriya, Cox’s Bazar reach at Bandarban through Lama.

From Bandarban to Ruma Bazaar you have to go by Bus Service or reserve transportation . From Bandarban one get Bus service from a place called Ruma Bus Stand( 1 km from Bandarban Bus stand). Reserve car will be get from around Bandarban Bus Stand. one need to use boat to cross Sangu River where ever you drooped.

The trail Started from Ruma Bazaar.

the Trail is going through –

Rumabazar ( Upazila Sadar)

Lairampi Para ( Boam tribal village just beside Ruma Bazar)

then you have to follow Ruma Khal upto Patang Jhiri or Narisha Falls touching Bogamuck Para.

From there the the trail will take you through the hilly terraing through –

Bogalake Para ( Boam Tribal Village)
Chingri Jharna
Darjiling Para ( Boam Tribal Village)
Kewkradong peak (highest peak of Bangladesh in some official publication)
Passing Para ( a Hub of tribal villages)
Capital Peak
Thaikhaung Para ( Boam Tribal Village)
Lakhudaung Peak
Baklai Falls
Baklai Para( Boam Tribal Village)
Prata Para ( Boam Tribal Village)
Simlampi Para ( Boam Tribal Village)

from there the trail will get down toward Ramakri Khal through Thandui para( Boam Tribal Village).

the trail will follow ramakri khal from there touching Chombok oi falls, Salokia Para( Boam Tribal Village), Hanjorai Para ( Boam Tribal Village).

after that the trail leave Ramakri Khal and getting upwards to Nefew Para ( Boam Tribal Village). this is at the base of Mowdok Taung. and from there it is about 2 hours trek to summit the peak.
any one interested can touch the peak Lungphe Tang(which known as Tajing Daung) before going to Siplampi Para.

Where to stay:
At Bandarban you can get descend hotels for (+/-) 200 to 250 taka per person. At Ruma Bazar you will get some place hotels and Thaana Rest House for 100 to 150 taka per person. On other place you have to manage your place at the tribal villages. Pay around 50- 60 taka per person but in places like Bogalake ( where lots of tourist went) accommodation will cost around 100 to 150 taka per person.

What to eat (food):
Up to Ruma Bazar you will get some restaurant. At the trail you have to manage food from locality. We always suggest taking some dry and light food (biscuits, Chocolate etc) for trail. Take saline if you go for trekking in summer. to having cooked food you are suggested to carry oil and spices. Rice , Vegetable or chicken should be available at paras (tribal Villages) if there is no crucial crisis.

Tips/advise for traveler:
This trail could be impossible for complete in rainy season due to Ramakri Khal.
New trekkers are suggested to follow the trail in winter.

    i have explored handful of places. Like Sitakunda, Nafakhum, Kalo Pahar, Nilgiri and Nilachol. But i wanna explore Sapha Hafong. i have list of friends who wanna join with me. but i want to know Ruma or Thanchi, which would be the place to start trekking for Sapha Hafong? I mean, which way would be more adventurous?

    It depend on the capability of Trekker.
