Trail Name: Elephant watch trail,Teknaf reserve forest, Cox’s Bazar

Teknaf reserved forest is one of the oldest reserved forest in Bangladesh recently developed and 2 trekking trail has been made under the support by UNDP and USAID.
Longer trail takes around 5 hours and the shorter one takes 3 and half hours to cover.
This reserved forest holds some small groups of wild elephants that trekker may watch them.
How to go:
Its just beside the Cox’s Bazar Teknaf highway about 7-8 KM before to reach Teknaf.
Where to stay:
There are no accommodation in the forest, but with advance permit you can stay forest rest house at the main gate. Otherwise you may stay at hotel/motel in Teknaf.
What to eat (food):
In Teknaf there are some small restaurant are available for foods.
Tips/advise for traveler:
Please, NOTE that there are some wild elephants habitat in the forest and you might be encounter by them.
So, Must take a local guide for this trail other wise you might be miss trail and possible to encounter with wild elephants.
* keep water bottle with you as no drinking water source inside the forest.
